Changes in submission of documents at the UK Visa Application Center

Visas.Consulting

On November 14, 2018, the UK Visa Application Center introduced a trial electronic document loading system. This option is valid for applicants who apply for a UK visa in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk.

When you register your UK visa application on the TLS Contact website, you will be proposed to upload your documents electronically. You can upload scanned documents to eDossier Solo, or use the eSolo Mobile App to scan documents using your mobile phone.

All documents must be sorted into groups:

  • employment evidence;
  • financial evidence;
  • studies evidence;
  • sponsor evidence;
  • consent letters and proof of relationship;
  • accommodation;
  • additional documents / others.

On the day of your appointment at the visa center, you must bring along the checklist of documents that you have uploaded and your passports. UK.Visas.Consulting recommends that you have the originals of the uploaded documents with you as well in the event of force majeure.

On the official website of the TLS Contact Visa Application Center for Moscow, you can find information that this system is valid only for applicants who apply for a Standard Visit (Tourism) visa. However, in the British Visa Center itself, experts say that applicants for all types of visas except settlement (fiance, spouse, unmarried partner, child dependent of a settled person) can use this electronic document loading system. Also, workers claim that in the near future, this system will become mandatory, and if a person comes without electronically loaded documents in advance, he will have to pay 2,000 rubles for the scanning service. When exactly it will happen is not specified yet.

Currently there are a numerous of innovations in the work of the British Visa Application Center. Some changes remain in the work, some - become unnecessary and are abandoned. In the future, we will see what happens with the electronic document loading system.
